Michael LeBlanc, CIM®, FCSI®, AIFP™

Director, Wealth Management - Canada
Investment Advisor & Sr. Portfolio Manager

Michael is the founder of the LeBlanc Group. As a Wealth Management Director, Investment Advisor and Sr. Portfolio Manager, Michael is responsible for introducing the Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (CGWM) private investing offering to Canadian investors and overseeing tailored portfolio strategies. Through his expertise in wealth management and investment advice, Michael provides tailored products and
solutions to individuals, families and business owner.
Prior to joining CGWM, Michael worked for a Canadian Bank as an Associate Portfolio Manager and was responsible for driving one of the fastest growing advisory business within the firm. Michael’s career also involved Corporate Management in Wealth Management and Advisory roles within the industry.
Michael holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and the Fellowship of Canadian Securities
Institute (FCSI) accreditations.

Louvie Ronse

Sr. Investment Advisor Assistant

Louvie Ronse is the frontline contact for clients, and is here to take care of all administrative needs on a daily basis. She is fully licensed and able to communicate with clients on a fundamental and advanced level, ensuring that they feel comfortable and that team operations run smoothly.
Louvie’s 15 years of experience and deep understanding of the financial services sector make her an essential member of the team. She enjoys interacting with people, and they with her.

Sofiia Salimova

Business Development Associate

Sofiia has recently graduated from the University of British Columbia with a combined degree in Economics and Commerce. During her time as a full-time international student, Sofiia interned as a Finance Analyst with a private-equity company in downtown Vancouver. Sofiia has experience working with a variety of clients and high-profile financial institutions, which gives her an ability to find an individual approach for every scenario.

Apart from work, Sofiia has a passion for event planning, contributing to the National Investment Banking Competition (NIBC) for the past two years. As a Conference Director at NIBC, Sofiia led an Organizing Team in sponsorship, marketing and operations activities.

As a Business Development Associate on the LeBlanc Group, Sofiia works directly with clients and leads the online marketing operations.

Tony Dwyer

Sr. Managing Director & Chief Market Strategist

Tony Dwyer joined Canaccord Genuity following the acquisition of Collins Stewart in March 2012, and currently serves as the Head of U.S. Macro Group, Chief Market Strategist, and member of the Firm’s U.S. Operating Committee. Prior to joining Canaccord Genuity, Tony served as a Senior Managing Director and Chief Equity Strategist for Collins Stewart LLC from 2010-2011. Prior to joining Collins Stewart, Tony served as the Chief Equity Market Strategist for FTN Financial’s equity arm from 2003-2010. In addition to his analyst role at FTN, Tony also held the title of Co-Director of Research, Chairman of the Investment Committee and sat on the firm’s Operating Committee.

As a Strategist, Dwyer is best known for the practical application of macroeconomic and tactical market indicators designed to assist institutional clients in making intermediate-term market and sector investment decisions. He is frequently seen and quoted on the various Financial News outlets such as CNBC, Barrons, FOX Business, and Bloomberg.

Tony is a graduate of Le Moyne College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and currently sits on the LeMoyne College Endowment Fund Investment Committee. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two sons, enjoys being a private pilot, scuba diving, sky diving, adventure racing, and all outdoor sports.

Martin Roberge

Managing Director, North American Portfolio Strategy

Martin Roberge serves as Portfolio Strategist and Quantitative Analyst at Canaccord Genuity. He is responsible for providing tactical asset mix and sector rotation research and recommendations to the firm’s retail and institutional clients. Previously, he held similar roles at Dundee Securities and National Bank Financial. Martin acquired money-management expertise as the lead portfolio manager of absolute-return funds at Natcan Investment Management and Crystalline Management. Over the years, Martin has been highly ranked as a portfolio strategist and quantitative analyst in Canada, according to the Brendan Wood International survey. He holds the CFA designation and is a member of the Montreal Society of Financial Analysts. He completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Bishop’s University and a Master of Science in Finance from l’Université de Sherbrooke.

Michel Perera

Chief Investment Officer

Michel is responsible for the investment process at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management UK, with a specific focus on asset allocation and stock selection. He also works to maximise the potential of Canaccord Genuity’s proprietary and industry-leading stock screening tool, Quest®.
Michel is an experienced investment strategist having spent the past 19 years at JP Morgan Private Bank where he was the Chief Investment Strategist (EMEA) responsible for running investment strategy and overseeing tactical asset allocation decisions for discretionary portfolios within the region.
